Mansion in the Mountains is a return to mapping from like a 3 year hiatus, it is the same formulae I have used for every map before it yet it is more interconnected than previous Doom maps of mine, I wanted the map to run off of 2 "hub" areas that the player circles through.

It's a little sloggy at the start according to some, what I wanted was a map that doesn't let you immediately lean on the SSG yet I also wanted it to be more accessible, playing on lower difficulties not only lowers enemies and buffs item count but also moves important weaponry and relocates the Red Key that is used to access more meaty firepower (allowing for earlier/easier access to more reliable weapons).

The map comes with some changes to the base game too, nothing major just a few shrub decorations and a 100% accurate rifle that replaces the pistol which (may cause issues with mods that modify weaponry/decorations).
