I.BEAT.IT.ON.MY.FIRST.TRY

OK PEOPLE LET ME GET ONE THING STRAIGHT..........the emerald and ruby weapon battles are a little luck based sometimes they will use there move A LOT FASTER then you fought!! but luckly for me emerald weapon was taking it's sweet time!!

Heres the set I used foir this battle

Equipment:
The 3 party memebrs ultimate weapons!!

3 mystile if you did the item duplication trick in the northern cave if you didn't then equipt the 2 mystiles you got through story purposes on your attack and healer and equipt the Aegis Armlet.

As for accessories THIS BOSS DOESN'T INFLICT ANY STATUS EFFECTS!! so you can use stat boosting accessories instead of ribbons I equipt 2 tough guy rings and the champion belt on the remaining party member!

ITEMS:
Just max out the follwing using the w-item trick

Elixer, megalixer, turbo ether, X-potion, phoenix dwon and hero drink ( hero drink increases your overall stats during battle

OH and if you have any sources.......eh USE THEM on the party members that need to it as in the party members that are going into battle.

MATERIA:
This is the important part!! and I have to admit I made a mistake or 2 with mine!! you don't need to have final attack+revive

.....ANYWAY heres my set up and if I put a plus between the 2 materi I'm mentioning THOSE 2 NEED TO BE IN ALINKED SLOT!!

Cloud:
Master summon+HP absorb, MIME+counter,W-summom, underwater
HP plus and magic plus

Tifa:
master magic+MP turbo,DON'T USE REVIVE+FINAL ATTACK.......instead have 4x cut+counter, HP plus, mega all, W-magic and mime

Cid:
Master command, enemy skills(note you shoudl've learned quite a few good enemy skills by now if you watched my playthrough), MP plus, 4x cut, w-item, HP plus and
phoenix+ final attack

Now I could've equipt more materia BBUT DON'T HAVE 9 MATERIA OR MORE it has to be under 9........why because emerald weapon has an attack that does damage based on the number of materia you have..........if you had nine materia then his AIRE TAM STORM WOULD DO 9999 DAMAGE and no armour of barriers can reduce the damage.

Next I'll tell you emerald weapons attacks:

Foot Stamp: Hits the whole party for a few thousand damage. Only used when the eyes are not present.

Emerald Shoot: Hits a single character for massive damage, usually between 6000 and 8000 with average defenses. Only used when the eyes aren't present and after an attack. Also cancels out most positive status effects.

Emerald Beam: Hits the whole party for approximately 63% of each characters current HP and cancels most positive status effects. Only used when the eyes are present.

Revenge Stamp: Counterattack; hits the whole party for several thousand damage. Only used when the eyes are present.

Aire Tam Storm: Deals damage to the entire party equal to the amount of materia that character has equipped * 1111. Only used when the eyes are present and after two Emerald Beams, or one after Revenge Stamping ten times; or as a counterattack at any point in the battle after taking 500,000 damage, to Knights of the Round.

OK now for the strategy:

as soon as the battle starts have tifa use regen, cid use big guard and cloud double summon knights of the round and as soon as your finished have cid ready nto use a megalixer followed by a hero drink who you should give to cloud because emerald weapon likes to counter attack.... ALOT keep you HP up at all times and if your limit is ready SAVE IT unttil you use ahero drink or 2 on yourself!! so that you can do as much damage as possible with your limit break since the weapons have CRAZY defences!! after awhile he will bring up 4 of it's......eh eyes and each eye will attack you the yellow ones will hit you MP while the the blue ones attack your health you want to get rid of these as soon as possible so use knights of the round to deal with them!! and to explain what the hell cloud was doing when he didn't use knights of the round well.....my counter+mime combo will counter with thelast action that my party members did as soon as cloud gets hit.........however if some did a action before cloud then he will mimic THAT instead of the 2x knights of the round combo so yeah it's a pretty risky move, also the phoenix+final attack materia CAN BRING YOUR ENTIRE PARTY BACK FROM THE DEAD or just the person who died who so happened to have this combo you see final attack let's you do ONE MORE THING BEFORE YOU DIE.

PS:next time we fight ruby weapon........who can be a real dick!! oh boy I have a feeling that my luck will run out on THIS ONE!!
