Final Fantasy 7 - Walkthrough - Part 14 - Enemy Skills, Corel Prison, More Enemy Skills, Fort Condor
00:00 - Head north, then north again. In the next screen take the exit at the top left, through the gate next to the man who has been shot. Make sure you have Manipulate Materia equipped and both Enemy Skill Materia. When you get into a random battle with a Death Claw, manipulate one and use Laser on both party members with Enemy Skill equipped to learn it. This is a great attack that halves an enemy's HP unless they're immune to Gravity.
03:10 - Head right through the gate and right again into a scrapyard. If you come across the enemy called Bullmotor, you can manipulate it and learn Matra Magic on the second Enemy Skill Materia. When you're ready to continue, give Barret Poison Materia, Restore and your strongest magic, armour and accessory and make sure he is in the back row if you have a long-range weapon equipped. Continue north until you meet the next boss, Dyne.
08:35 - In this battle, Barret will fight on his own. Using Bio on Dyne until he has been poisoned is an effective tactic then keep chipping away with magic and Limit Breaks until he has been defeated. Keep Barret's HP above 350, as Dyne has some strong attacks. After the battle, he will drop a Silver Armlet.
12:05 - After the battle, you will find yourself in Mr. Coates' truck, who will give Cloud and the team the opportunity to leave the prison if they can win in the Chocobo Races. In the elevator with Ester, she will explain how the race works and the controls, take some time to understand this so that you are ready to win.
16:15 - While in the waiting area, make sure you pick up the red Ramuh Materia in the right corner of the room. Once you've got it make your way over to the right exit to start the race. The easier way to win is to change the mode to Manual, then speed up to get a head start, slow down and hold down [Page Down] + [Target] on PC or R1+R2 on console to regain stamina. When you get to the last part of the race speed up again for a sprint finish.
19:45 - After you win, choose your party members and you will automatically be outside of the Gold Saucer in the new buggy. This will allow you to cross over desert areas and cross rivers. First up, let's learn one of the best Enemy Skills in the game. Head south and cross over the river to the beach area to the south until you random battle against the Beachplug enemy. Manipulate it and cast Big Guard on the party to learn the skill on both Enemy Skill Materia. When used in battle this skill casts Barrier, MBarrier and Haste on all party members and will become an essential step at the start of all boss battles.
22:50 - Drive to Costa Del Sol, and ride into it while in the buggy. Go to the cargo boat area and talk to the sailor next to the boat and give them the 100 Gil to sail back to Junon with the buggy. Run to the next screen and talk to the sailor here to get a heli-taxi. Select "Outside Junon" and this will take you to the world map.
25:10 - Drive the buggy across the river to the cave to the west of the Mythril Mines. When you come across the Zemzelett enemy, manipulate it and use White Wind on the part to learn the enemy skill. Head inside the cave and speak with the sleeping man. He will tell you how many battles you have fought. When the last two digits are two odd numbers e.g. 11 he will give you the Mythril Key Item. When the last two digits are even e.g. 22, he will give you a Bolt Ring.
29:20 - If you are quite a bit off reaching one of the numbers you can detour first. We're going to backtrack to get the Enemy Skills that we are missing from the second Enemy Skill Materia. First head to the Mythril Mines area and learn Flame Thrower from the Ark Dragon enemy.
30:08 - Then head outside and give the team member with the enemy skill without Beta the Fire Ring to make the battle with the Midgar Zolom easier.
36:00 - Now, go to the Chocobo stable to buy more Mimett Greens then learn L4 suicide from the Mu enemy. Now equip Chocobo Lure Materia find the Level 16 Chocobo and use L4 suicide with the party member looking to learn Chocobuckle.
44:00 - With all of those enemy skills in the bag, head back to the cave with the sleeping man and random battle until you have both the Mythril and the Bolt Ring. (Note - Cait Sith will get the Level 2 Limit Break Slots after killing 40 enemies).
52:00 - Once you have both, you can head over to Ford Condor to participate in another round of the mini-game.
