0The soldier's climbing Cleyra's trunk were a diversion. Puck, the kid from before, warns Zidane and co that the city is in danger. They hurry back only to see the Black Mages and Alexandrian soldiers killing most of the citizens. With the right choices; however, Zidane can save a handful.
Beatrix takes the opportunity to steal the harp's stone, while everyone is still reeling from the fact that Sir Fratley was still alive. Zidane and co run after her to try to get the stone back but to no avail.
Brahne uses the stone to summon the eidolen Odin to destroy Clerya. Zidane, Freya, and Vivi were able to escape using the retreating Black Mages' teleportation spell.
