I went back and completed The Mushroom forest two more times off-screen in order to obtain three irons. After going through the level three times, you should have not only the irons, but enough stuff to sell in order to craft your two pieces of iron armor (Iron Armor and Iron Belt/Shield/Gloves/Sallet), and your Warrior's Weapon. If you plan on using this technique, don't even bother making a Novice's Weapon or any bronze armor. It'll just be obsolite within 30 minutes. I highly recommend doing this, as the equipment set will last you about half of the game before you need to upgrade again.

All artifacts obtained in The Mushroom Forest, Cycle 1 (including those obtained off-screen):

* Silver Bracer (Magic +1)
