I'm surprised both at the number of side quests in Final Fantasy IV Pixel remaster and the speed at which we're getting through them. I guess I got to used to the Final Fantasy X-style lightning dodging and things that can take hours, and these definitely aren't that XD Excalibur is super easy since we picked up the Rat Tail in the village of the summons, Odin is just one fight, and while the Bahamut stuff was more than I expected with those few bigger fights along the way, it was still a pretty straightforward thing. Still, it's all worked really well as cool little side adventures to get a break from the main story for a bit!
