On this part, I head into the Toroia Castle to talk to Edward and get the Twin Harp, without the harp, beating the Dark Elf is not possible with normal means.
Then I head to the Chocobo Forest to grab a black Chocobo so I can fly to the island with the dungeon entrance. I escape from every random battle and grab all the chests I know of in Cave Magnes.
After beating the Dark Elf, I use exit and head back to Toroia the town to grab a few secret treasures. Part ends there.

Tactics for the boss:
This is one of the harder bosses in this early in the game. Unless you use a really easy and cheap tactics, you might have trouble if you haven't leveled very high.
The cheap tactics is used in my video and consists of fighting the Dark Elf normally, but when he turns into a dragon, just use Weak with Tellah and the boss will be left with single digit HP.
As for normal tactics, try to focus doing damage with the melee people. Use Tellah for healing only, because the Dark Dragon does a lot of damage to the whole party, so using Cure 2/3 is really needed.
If you use primarily Cecil and Yang for attacking, use Tellah for healing and Cid for either help healing, using Ethers on Tellah or attack the boss, you should be able to beat him.
