Final Fantasy Opera Omnia - The Redheaded Turk Lufenia
Party - Reno, Lightning, Gladiolus
A free pull blessed me with Reno's full kit, allowing me to use him here.
This mission is rather complex. When the bosses drop below certain HP levels (80%, 50%, and 30%) they crank on the fog machine. Your party loses HP each turn and the bosses take greatly reduced HP damage while the mist is up. You have to let them have their turn to get rid of it.
Their recast ability is also nasty: a strong group attack that fully dispels you. You'll have to scramble to get your momentum back.
The countdown orb requires that three debuffs be on one of them to freeze it. They cleanse their debuffs after using attacks when the mist is up, so you'll need to reset them quickly.
I put a Laguna RF sphere on Reno to help him get more debuffs up when he attacks with group attacks, letting me get the orb under control faster. His Pyramid lets me avoid all damage from nasty attacks, including the one recast that I was forced to eat. His Numb debuff delays them after their attacks, giving me more space to work.
Lightning provides most of the damage output. She has to put on the brakes constantly to let them get their turns when the mist comes up, but her damage and turn control outside of this are very valuable.
Gladio brings the required HP regen to offset the poison mist, as well as some extra debuffs to the party. He has trouble covering Lightning though because she burns up his cover buff, and that ends up causing issues. The fact that his regen is put up through his slow-charging EX and has to stack from taking hits also proves troublesome. In retrospect, Leo may have worked better for this strategy; the orbs ended up being of little consequence because of the sphere I put on Reno.
