Final Fantasy VI | Part 12: Finding Hope in a Hopeless World
Product provided in this video by Square-Enix. This is part of my purpose to playthrough all six of these.
There's a lot that happens here so let's break it down.
First up we travel to Maranda to find a woman who is still getting letters from her boyfriend. We help her send a letter and it leads us to Zozo. We travel to Zozo and we also find that what we're looking for is in Mt. Zozo. We do find Cyan who was the one writing all the letters. He also was the one who made the flowers... and has gotten into understanding machinery. Basically he's Wakka but better. His story ain't done yet though.
Next up we travel to Mobliz where we find Terra who has given up the fight. Along with Terra there's Duane and Mobliz, teenagers who are keeping an eye on all the children whose parents were lost when the Light of Judgment struck the town. Terra abandoned fighting to protect the children from a menace named Hunbaba. The first fight is scripted so you don't have to worry. It isn't until later where we learn Katarin is pregnant and Duane is worried. Hunbaba returns and it forces us to fight again. Eventually Terra joins the fight and this time, she has a reason to fight. She enters Esper mode and we can wipe Hunbaba out with Bio. Terra finally understands the meaning of love and with it, she has a reason to fight against Kefka.
Oh and we travel to the Veldt to recruit Gau again. His story will come much later. We head for Jidoor next and head for Owzer's manor. Turns out he's been captured by Chardarnook. Relm's there too against the being's will and we have to travel into the manor to free them both. Word of advice, attack its undead form with Fire attacks. It'll go down fast. Owzer is freed and Relm rejoins the party. We also get our hands on the Lakshmi magicite teaching Curaga. With Relm, we head for the Cultist's Tower and get Strago back to join. His story will continue later.
Part 13 is where we still keep on finding more friends and seeing their stories through to the end.
