During the finale to the Record Dungeon mechanic, Record Keeper recreates the end of the world at the hands of Kefka in Final Fantasy VI.

For context on the Shadowsmith - he has been revealed to be an alternate/future version of the FFRK player character (hence why they call him "DrakeyC") that has been trying to change history through the records, and repeatedly failed. This is why he's not sure why he told the others to wait for Shadow - he's a tagalong in a recreation of events that he cannot change, so why bother speaking up when what happens is going to happen anyway.
