(1) Get Monks. ASAP.

Level 2 Knights unlock the Monk job. Monks gets FREE projectile attacks, HP healing and MP healing. They are like chemists without potion limits, and strong as any fighter in the early game. You will burn through the story missions, with a party of monks.

(2) With one weak enemy remaining, throw rocks at your allies. Then heal them for free with monks and/or magicians. Don't waste potions. Buff and/or debuff them, too. Repeat.
