Final Fantasy Tactics: Secret Arithmetician Formula (Mime copies homework) Graviga Math vs Elidibus
Figured I would do one last exploit to show how to automatically win in Final Fantasy Tactics.
The arithmetician fka calculator allows you to instantly use any eligible white (holy, the chameleon robe can heal with friendly fire), black (flare) or time (Graviga fka Demi 2 but calculates 1/2 of max instead of current hp other games do) magic based on numerical formulas (3 which I don’t bother with for being as expensive as mystic magic is useless, I use multiples of 4, 5 or prime numbers). These formulas are in conjunction with CT (charge time), Exp, Height or Character Level.
If you have a generic job, errands help get jp as this class is half as fast as any other to make a parody of balancing the game, given you change to another for math skill and don’t have a speed limit. The damage split reaction ability to reflect half the damage to an enemy is nice. You can also farm JP as a dancer or bard as they don’t have to move in range to be active, though they are liabilities on small maps.
The mime can immediately mimic basic jobs like these, but they all bypass the complicated range issue (The monk’s earth slash fka shockwave goes through walls, and bows bypass height though you have to count panels). It is a win more (ie. copy math homework here, or even double hp/speed changes with a bard or dancer so long as you have a heavy hitter) class given you can’t mimic special abilities like Orlandu or Balthier nor other mimics/monsters, and innate beastmaster/brawler forces you to be too close to ally monsters/enemies, and you cannot use equipment nor abilities.
This midlite deep finale is technically a superboss, but a summoner can learn his zodirark spell by surviving with mana shield (or rend magic if in range). Elidibus can also turn you into a frog, though the minions are just damage you can pierce on the way up (your ally Byblos is too slow to be relevant; hard to compete with excalibur for haste and holy absorption/boost, thief's hat and mirage vest for speed).
You can job level up the arithmetician with bardsong/dance and have Ramza/Luso spam tailwind for their slow speed and magic attack though Graviga bypasses this to do half maximum health. Damage Split is good but a win more, and cup of life could work with a bard to heal double, like with a mime.
