This is video #002 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster on Steam.

Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIZ8kn0xML25Cj9T_S3QWjh59u2hH6vbI

Previously, we started the game. Bartz met Lenna and Galuf at the Tycoon Meteorite. After rescuing them again during an earthquake, he joined forces with them. They traveled through a Cave to the Pirates' Hideout. They attempted to hijack the pirate ship but got caught. However, the pirate captain, Faris, decided to join forces with them! Then, the party sailed northwest to the village of Tule, where they gathered treasure and geared up. They will now sail northeast and explore the Wind Shrine.

World Map:

The party resumes outside Tule. They follow the coast northeast. They disembark near the Wind Shrine and venture inside.

Wind Shrine (time 0:45):

The party starts on floor 1F of the shrine. In the room to the west, they find Tycoon's Chancellor and some other Tycooners. A brief scene takes place when they enter this room. Afterwards, the party chats with the NPCs.

A pot in the south of this room has healing water that restores HP, MP, and status. The NPC just west of the pot will give the party 5 Potions. Hey, thanks!

In the east, the party takes the stairway up to floor 2F. They arrive in the east of the northern room. To the west, they find a chest containing a Tent.

The south-central door leads to the central room of 2F. There is a save point here. At save points, the party can use Tents or Cottages to rest, and they can save the game. For now, the party skips this save point and continues on.

They arrive in the southern part of the floor.

Bartz reaches Level 4.

To the east, they find a stairway leading to the southeast room on 3F. The chest here contains a Leather Cap. Galuf equips this.

The party backtracks to 2F.

Faris reaches Level 4.

To the west, the party takes another stairway. They arrive in the southwest of floor 3F. They follow the corridor in clockwise fashion.

Lenna and Galuf reach Level 4.

In the southeast, the party goes through a door, but the room beyond appears to be empty.

The party goes across the corridor to the western door. In the room beyond, they open a chest for a Broadsword. Lenna equips this in place of her Knife.

Before they approach the creature in the main room, they heal up with Potions.

When the party approaches the winged creature, a brief scene takes place. Then, it is boss time against the Wing Raptor. This foul avian attacks with Breath Wing, which damages the entire party and depletes each party member's HP by 1/4 of their maximum. It will do this a couple of times. Then, it will fold its wings, which boosts its defense and evasion. If it is attacked while its wings are folded, it will counter with a powerful Claw attack. It is interesting that the initial bosses of Final Fantasy IV, V, VI, and VII all have a similar mechanic.

The strategy is simple. Attack while its wings are open. When it closes its wings, idle, or heal low-HP party members with Potions.

My party easily clears this battle. Afterwards, they continue up the next stairway.

The party reaches floor 4F. In the southeast, they can find a secret passage south of the vine-covered pillar. In this edition of the game, when the party enters a secret passage, the entire passage is shown. The passage leads east to a chest that contains a Staff.

In the southern hall, the party goes north through the door to the Wind Crystal chamber. The Final Fantasy Prelude plays. When the party enters the chamber, a scene takes place. They acquire the essences of the Crystals. King Tycoon has a message for them. Now, their objective is to protect the other Crystals. The party earns the jobs of the shattered Wind Crystal: Knight, Monk, Blue Mage, Thief, Black Mage, and White Mage.

The player earns the achievement "Passion- Essence of Wind" for receiving power from the Wind Crystal.

After the scene, it is time to equip jobs! Everyone starts as a Freelancer. Freelancer has no abilities on its own. However, it can equip two mastered job commands of any other job, and it inherits all mastered support abilities. Job commands start with an "!", such as "!White Magic" and "!Black Magic". Freelancer can also equip any equipment. In the end, it can become pretty OP, but only if the character masters job abilities. However, there is an optional job later on that is even more flexible.

Most jobs have their own job command, which is permanently equipped. For instance, the White Mage has the "!White Magic" command permanently equipped. They can also equip mastered command abilities or support abilities from other jobs. Jobs other than Freelancer do not inherit mastered support abilities from other jobs.

The description is continued in the comments.
