Final Fantasy V Pixel Remaster: Mime Efficiency vs Omega
It is so frustrating to use a mime in this game:
1) It won’t work with mix (cheese builds at link) as you can’t equip Masamune to go first, nor ribbon to be protected from debuffs (delta attack hits them to petrify and you lose). Unfortunately the game has a poor interface for keeping mix results (and reading your equipped gear)

2) Boost helps the dual wield dualcast builds (2 rods are better with increasing damage and shields aren't helpful here except Aegis shield preventing petrify that a ribbon a mime cannot equip, does better, with doublehand not buffing the one rod more, and needing to be equipped is a waste unlike passive dualwield).
3) You need a win more party (I didn’t need to heal and Romeo’s Ballad stunned as well as dark sigh works on superbosses, sapping Omega and confusing/dark on Shinryu, though Giant Drink/Dragon Power may be better to use to buff someone in your party).
4) Dualcast needs an exploit (support magic is best but blue magic is incompatible, though at least this isn’t as bad as FF6 gogo with low speed/hp/no esper magic growth, though shields are better, yet Strago is too slow and too late with his blue magic improvements to observe and not be hit to learn) as rapidfire/spellblade will bowl over whatever, and is susceptible to king behemoth meteor counters (that Zeninage/gil toss bypasses).
5) The Mime has 3 command slots (generally dualcast with 2 magics is the best), sacrificing the item slot, so if you're not careful, you can't use an elixir or phoenix down.
I figured I would upload an ff5 vid as I haven't done so and I was surprised to win despite not healing mp from shinryu, and not healing at all in the fight (Mix also heals full hp and mp when reviving with phoenix down and potion) and Golem not needing to block (fun fact ff6 it blocks the tentacle boss from grabbing humans and fft only human attacks). Mighty Guard buffs the party with protect, shell and Levitate, and is a tough blue magic to get along a coast from some stingray enemy rare encounter that a beastmaster must control to use to have a blue mage learn).
I had a couple of flame rings and float on the party to help as well. No idea why the game doesn't tell you about mix results/influences, equipped descriptions (Brave blade isn't bad if you don't run away to weaken it) and where stat masteries Reflect (I had everyone master both thief, monk and ninja which boost makes this way easier). Fun fact: Spellblade kinda sucks before flare, break and thundaga here but rapidfire guarantees hits so it is good endgame.
