Zzzzzzzz this took forever. Thankfully, Avalon was immune to Holy (and Golbez absorbed it) so when he went super jerk with the Heartless Angel into Saintly Beam I wasn't completely screwed. Far too much healing was done by this boss, thus the "this is taking 10 years to actually die" issue.
