1Zack tries to return to his hometown, but is forced to stop because the Turks and Shinra were already expecting him there.
He is also told that there's someone looking exactly like Angeal that has been sighted.
This man is Lazard, the ex director of SOLDIER and he got transformed into an Angeal copy by Hollander.
Meanwhile, Genesis and Hollander stop Zack again and tell him that they will kidnap Cloud and extract his Sephiroth cells to cure their degradation.
Fortunately, Lazard stopped them and saved Cloud.
And Professor Hollander is put out of commission for good.
Zack then figures out that Genesis wants to find the Gift of the Goddess, AKA a source of pure lifestream to cure his degradation, and remembers that the ground beneath Banora was blessed with particularly potent lifestream...
