FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE MODDED Let's Play #07 Chapter 09: Wall Market (WIN 7 PC)
This episode will feature the entire Chapter 09: The Town that Never Sleeps starting from where I left off in the last part, I'll be starting off in the colosseum with Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough fighting a bunch of battles there until they face the Hell House which is a boss in FF7Remake unlike in the original game where it is an ordinary enemy. After this I'll skip all the 6 sub-quests and move straight to the Don's Mansion. I'll be using mods for all the dresses of the characters - Cloud will be getting his dress fairly but will be using a mod that will replace the Remake dress with a dress that is more like the classic one of the original game, Aerith will use a mod just to make her wear the red dress of the Remake (it's similar to the original one) because if I didn't use a mod she'd simply use the original pink dress or the classic dress she is using due to a mod - due to FF7Remake needing the player to do all the 6 sub-quests in order to get rewarded with the red dress unlike in the original game where Aerith got the red dress automatically - and Tifa has a modded dress as well which needed to be added through a mod or she'd be using her classic look or vanilla Remake look - it's probably the same story there that you'd need to finish minor quests in the game to make her wear the blue dress otherwise - unlike Aerith's dress and similarly to Cloud's dress Tifa's dress is modded to look more like the classic one. After the events at the Don's mansion the episode will end when the trio are thrown down into the sewers!
So I decided to buy this game a second time, despite never playing the PS4-version (PlayStation 4) of Final Fantasy VII Remake (not INTERGRADE which is an expansion with additional content,) that I had bought the first day it released on May 2nd 2020 after pre-ordering it.
The reason I never played it was because of disappointment in the changed look of Tifa Lockheart, and because of those "Kingdom Hearts"-like beings known as Whispers. I didn't like these changes but still bought the game. I decided to wait on the PC-version which would allow the player to mod it so that certain changes could be reverted back to how they were in the original Final Fantasy VII game from 1997.
Unfortunately the FF7 Remake/Remake Intergrade only stretches a smaller part of the original game, which would be the MIDGAR-section of the game - and the rest of the original game will be released as two additional stand-alone games. Later this year we have been promised a trailer of the second game in this remake-series.
In any case, I did have issues getting the game to run on Windows 7 and I didn't want to update to Windows 10 due to mods for Medieval 2: Total War: Kingdoms such as Hyrule: Total War having more issues there - and I enjoy those the most I think.
But in the end I didn't have to update it as I found a file which fixed the issue with Win 7 over on Nexus mods - but you needed a legal copy of the game so I decided to buy the game again from Epic Games. It worked fine after adding the modded files and changing a line in the Epic Launcher.
I had watched Youtubers play the first Chapter against the Scorpion at least 3 times in 2020 so the scenes weren't new. I had also watched someone play until the Sector 5 stuff over on Youtube.
I am an old FF7 player who got the original game on PC already back in 1997 - a game which I have learnt to mod myself - I've made a Shinra Character Overhaul-mod for it, then I've re-bought that game three times, once for the PSX during my teeanger years and I finished it and then I sold it, the PC-version was a gift from my dead grandmother so I still have it, however in 2013 I bought the Enix-store version because the CD-version didn't run on my Win 7 - and then I lost the CD-version so I had to buy it again, only to find it later. So currently I own two copies of FF7PC (CD 1997) and one copy of the Enix-store version - I do not own the Steam-version and I no longer own the PSX-verson. The PSX-version had better music prior to mods - but the PC-version had better graphics even before mods.
FF7 Remake is a completely new game that I've never played before. I do own the PS4 2020 original but it's not opened yet. The benefit with it is zero lag, as the PC-version has some stuttering and lag on the best graphics - the benefit with the PC-version is mods.
