2Recap: Yuna walks the Mi'ihen highroad, which no longer has chocobos on it, but lots of machina instead. There are hovercrafts for getting around, and guard robots attempting to keep the fiends under control, with limited success.
On the Mushroom Rock Road, the Gullwings spot Logos and Ormi heading off into the distance, and decide to follow them. Before they get far, they're stopped by Yaibal and Clasko of the Youth League, asking them for help patrolling the road to their headquarters, as they're shorthanded due to planning a major operation against New Yevon. Although they lose sight of Logos and Ormi on the way up, they complete the patrol and reach the Youth League headquarters at the old site of Operation Mi'ihen.
At the top, they find that Elma and Lucil have joined the Youth League and attained high ranks on it. Lucil is right-hand officer to Meyvn Nooj, their leader, whose combat prowess is legendary. Nooj is busy planning an operation and unfortunately can't meet with Yuna at that time. Maechen happens to be in the area, and shares one of his stories about the formation of the Youth League and New Yevon.
On the way back, the party spots Logos and Ormi in a cave under the road. When they realize they've been found, the beat a hasty retreat, leaving a sphere behind, which the Gullwings claim for themselves. On the way out of the cave, they bump into Maroda, an old friend. He's part of the Youth League, and Pacce is a sphere hunter as well, as the leader of the Kinderguardians. When Yuna asks about Isaaru, Maroda clams up and refuses to speak, quickly ushering them out of the cave.
