Fighting this Golem kind of reminded me of this part in Resident Evil 4, where at one point the game gave you a choice. If you choose one path, you face an army of infected residents in an action puzzle. If you choose the other, you fight one really tough enemy, but because of the way it's designed, it's really easy to defeat. This golem is not that guy (this one actually puts up a half-way decent go of it before getting destroyed).
