Previously, the party flew to the Sky Fortress Bahamut. They defeated the final bosses in the game: Vayne, Vayne Novus, and the Undying. Now, we will view the final scenes and credits.
We rejoin the party aboard the Bahamut after they have defeated the Undying (time 0:07). Can they escape the Sky Fortress? What fate lies in store for Dalmasca?
Afterwards, the epilogue scenes play (time 7:48). Good stuff.
Then, the credits play (time 12:48). This is a good remaster of an excellent JRPG from the PS2 era. The story is pretty good, yet it provides the freedom to do a lot of optional content. Unlike some Final Fantasy stories, it is not over-the-top. The music is also enjoyable, even if it is not from the master, Nobuo Uematsu. The Gambit system is quite powerful. I wish the system in Final Fantasy XIII were more like this. The job system in The Zodiac Age adds a bit of strategy to the game.
I only have a few minor gripes. The voice syncing is off in some scenes, such as the scene where Gabranth appears in Nalbina Fortress. Several enemies tend to abuse palings, such as Pandaemonium, Zodiark, and the Undying. The Great Crystal is hard to navigate, even with a map. The true final dungeon, the Pharos, is absurdly long.
In spite of these shortcomings, Final Fantasy XII is an excellent game. I would recommend it to any JRPG fan.
At "The End", an option appears when you press the A button (time 21:45). You have the option to start New Game+ mode. In New Game+, characters start around Level 90.
I hope you have enjoyed my playthrough of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age for the Nintendo Switch. I have had a blast making it. I look forward to seeing you in my other playthroughs.
Thanks for watching!
