FINAL FANTASY XIIII-2: Fragments Before is a web novella written by Jun Eishima that covers the events immediately after FINAL FANTASY XIII and leading up to FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. It fills in some of the gaps not covered explicitly in FF13-2's story. You'll see things like the immediate aftermath of FF13's ending, what Serah's up to a year later and how she became a teacher, Snow's journey to find Lightning, how the Academy was founded, and how Noel came to be blessed by the goddess Etro.

This is based on the translations by Mecorx. They are awesome and has done many FF13-related translations of stuff that never made it to America. Check out his page at this link: http://mecorx.blogspot.ca/

I will warn you that the translation is pretty shoddy, so there will be awkward sentences and things that don't make complete sense. However, I have done my best to make everything more grammatically correct and sound natural. It's the only translation out there, and I'm damn thankful for it!
