This is the 211th video in my Final Fantasy XIII playthrough. The party takes the newly opened route into the Faultwarrens. Titan will allow us to undertake a series of trials. However, I want to upgrade the party's weapons before we start.
To that end, we undertake Mission 63. The prize for this mission is a Genji Glove, which raises a character's damage limit from 99,999 to 999,999. The Cie'th stone is located in Sulyya Springs. However, the target is an Adamantortoise. To defeat this monster, I used a strategy similar to defeating the Adamantoise outside of Edenhall. First, Vanille summons Hecatoncheir to take out Adamantoise's legs. Then, we get rid of Hecaton, switch the party to the Infiltration paradigm (three Saboteurs), and spam Death on Adamantoise. Having three Saboteurs increases the odds of Death connecting. Debuffs also help. I gave Vanille a Blessed Talisman for Auto: Faith. I was lucky in getting Death to hit after a couple of tries; it may take you longer.
Fortunately, there is a way to take on these monsters without Death. I will show this off soon.
