The Eighth Rising is upon us, which means it's the 8th anniversary of the Calamity as well as the launch of A Realm Reborn. Wait a minute! Doesn't the game start 5 years after the Calamity? That would make it the 13th Rising. You can't be too picky about this stuff! :D

Anyway, during the final scene Naoki Yoshida says he has been working on this game for 10 years, meaning he was working on A Realm Reborn about 2 years before it launched. It takes time to make, and remake games. He alsos says something about the time not being all that important, but I bet some people might disagree. The 10th Anniversary is coming in two years and I think it would be cool if he thanked the players more directly in game. For The Tenth Rising I think he should do a voice over for the final scene. It could just be in Japanese. The rest of us can read the text bubbles to translate. I mean we know he's not terribly shy, considering he addresses the playerbase on a regular basis during the Live Letters, and his antics during the Fan Fests. If you like this idea spread it around. If you don't just let it fade into the aether.

But as usual I also need to say: Please fix the Unending Journey!
