Final Fantasy XIV - The Weapon's Refrain (Ultimate) Sage POV
0A grand achievement for somebody like me at this point in the game. Initially tried this out with some friends before Endwalker came out, quickly learned that it's way more fast paced than expected. Now, 8 months later (give or take), I can finally write this raid off the checklist.
For those unaware, an Ultimate is meant to be some of the hardest content in Final Fantasy XIV, and even more demanding. These are definitely more meant to be coordinated due to damage going out and mechanics needing to master. Clearing them gives you a "Legend" title (different variations) as well as the option to purchase a cool looking weapon (as well as bragging rights but I ain't putting that title up most times).
It's such a demanding fight in some parts, but then it does feel scripted after awhile, just fast paced scripted. I initially did this as Scholar but Sage makes this so much easier as a barrier healer. Going from "ooh I like Archer, and Bard is super fun, healing looks intimidating" to healing through an Ultimate itself, shows how much my playstyle has changed in 2 years.
