We have a new way of getting the Temporary (Active) Menu Glitch, before the first quest! This trick involves using the Keybinds function in the Pause Menu (I set my Interact button to 5 on my NumPad).

Using a ZCB against the garage door (watch your angle, as getting too close doesn't let you Check, and you're doing this blind behind a loadscreen), have the Blue Box on-screen while walking around. Now, similar to the Chocobo AMG, clear the blue box and immediately press Start/Options, for the Pause Menu. We can still move around in this state, but have less interactivity.

Thanks to the previous controller setting switch, the keyboard let's us perform functions in the Pause state. Speak to Cindy, and let the cutscenes and option play until the Main Menu auto-opens for you. You want to choose the Menu options that let's Cindy continue talking in the background - you can equip your gear in the meantime.

Once her shpeal is over, switch to first camera mode, and now we move around with the menu open. Note, do not leave this state, as we aren't in a true AMG state, but we can deload the terrain and get OoB if we go far enough.
