Testing High Mode performance in Final Fantasy XV on PlayStation 5. If you're playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro or a PlayStation 5, you're given the option to play in three different performance modes: Lite Mode, Steady Mode, and High Mode.

High Mode didn't run great on PS4 Pro, so how does it perform on PlayStation 5? Not great unfortunately. The frame pacing issues that was present on PS4 Pro is still present on PS5. The game looks amazing in High Mode, but it's not going to be the best experience even on PS5. In High Mode, the resolution is set to 1800p with checkerboard rendering. It also provides better details, shadows, ambient occlusion, and anisotropic filtering. It's a shame that the frame pacing issues are still there. I don't have an Xbox Series X, but I am interested in seeing if it alleviates the frame pacing issues there or if it's pretty much the same.

I don't think the framerate is dipping, but it's hard to tell just because of how bad the frame pacing is.

This is Final Fantasy XV for the PlayStation 4 running on a PlayStation 5.

Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for watching!
