Uploading this in part because there didn't seem to be any uploads of the Sega CD version in particular, but also to note a few differences from the arcade version (Guy isn't included because the only real difference in his animation is a slight delay after each loop. In his case, it's after one of his shocked expressions. Thanks to Youtube user Julio Alberto Rodríguez Chávez, you can see what Guy looks like on his own at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et_0_M-mL9Q).

First off, Cody's animation sequence is actually different. Instead of a simple 1-2-1-3 repeating loop, it starts on frame 1, then enters the animation loop, which DOESN'T otherwise start on 1. It goes 2-1-2-1-3-1-2-1-3 and then repeats THAT instead. Haggar's is pretty much the same as the arcade version, except there's a pause between each loop. I kind of prefer it, actually--it's like he's taking a moment to say "Is the fuse out now? No? Crap, better try again."

The strangest part to me, though, is that Cody and Haggar (But not Guy) have a single frame of "post-0" animation. A particularly morbid person might call it an involuntary post-death muscle spasm, if not for the fact that, you know, there should be nothing left of them to spasm after the dynamite blows up.

This concludes this installment of "I Have Thought Way Too Damn Hard About This Continue Screen and Its Various Iterations Over the Years"
