A beginning to end playthrough of Namco/NEC's 1990 TurboGrafx 16 game, Final Lap Twin.

Final Lap Twin is an interesting mix of the original Final Lap arcade game's racing with old-school RPG elements. This playthrough covers the Quest mode entirely, following an over-enthusiastic and eager to please son's trip to live up to his father's dream by winning the racing championship.

Hokey and corny, yes, but it also provides a pretty compelling impetus to play through all of the races. I'm also a huge fan of the misspelled Marlboro advertisements along the side of some tracks. Classy.

Namco, why haven't you revisited this idea? I mean, RPG racing? And tennis? You need to do this again!!!

Some of the races do get pretty difficult later on, especially the nightmare of a "last boss." Hope you enjoy the playthrough, I thoroughly enjoyed making it.
