"Final Zone" is comprised of a 20 second loop that cuts off way too early in the original Sonic The Hedgehog soundtrack. Luckily, that cutoff point makes for one natural-sounding bridge point for my custom expansion, which I think integrates seamlessly into the original song. I wanted to end my work on the first Sonic game by playing up the intensity of this final boss battle with a more menacing take.
Please note that I won't be tinkering with the ending theme, special stage, etc., as these tracks are fairly straightforward, and don't provide much in the way of room for expansions. It's time for another project, which will be announced soon!
