Day 25

I had to run through many monsters to get to the roof. Vaati was draining the Light Force from Zelda and said that at the third chime of the bell, he would become like a god. I barely made it before the last chime.
I saw Zelda, still stone. Vaati pointed at my feet and I fell into a different room. Vaati said that while he hadn't drained the entirety of the Light Force from Zelda, what he had would suffice. He transformed into this hideous monster. Ezlo kept yelling at Vaati that he didn't have to do this, but it was far too late. The quiet young student was dead. In his place, a horrifying monster.
Vaati protected himself with little eyes that shot painful beams. Vaati himself also knew how to use fire spells. I managed to take out the eyes which revealed Vaati's weakness. I had to be fast to slice it. Vaati wasn't done yet though. He teleported us to some sort of other world and he transformed into a being with a giant eye.
There were tiles on the ground. Vaati had smaller eyes surrounding him but they were all closed. I tried to open them but nothing worked! That was when I remembered Gregal's light arrows. I tried those and they worked! I split into four and didn't stop slicing Vaati. He screamed loudly as he and the world disappeared.
I was back on the roof. Zelda was in front of me. Ezlo told me to quickly use the power of the Four Sword. I did so. She slumped to the ground. I caught her. She was a little tired from having most of the Light Force taken from her, but she's fine. She said she saw everything I did as if it were a dream. I told her that her father was with Grandpa and the minister was with them. She was glad to hear they were safe.
Then the ground started shaking. I took her hand and we ran to find the exit, BUT IT WAS BLOCKED OFF BY DEBRIS! Ezlo told us to run to the Elemental Sanctuary, but we were stopped by Vaati. I felt him grab me and teleport me to another world. Zelda screamed for me.
Vaati was still that same being with the giant eye but now he had giant arms. No matter what I did I couldn't hurt him! The lightning that he threw at me wasn't helping either. Ezlo suggested that the arms might be the weakness and we had to sever them! I couldn't do that with just my sword! That was when I saw an arm try to grab me that I had the idea. I used the Cane of Pacci. Vaati screamed.
There was a tiny hole at the bottom of the arm. That was when I noticed the nearby Minish portal. Vaati tried to stop me from getting to it and his arm, but I was too quick for him. I entered the arm and destroyed the eye that kept the arm in tact. The arm was destroyed.
I destroyed the other arm the same way, which now left Vaati himself. He had four smaller eyes that shot balls of magic at me. I had already split into four and deflected the attack on instinct. The magic bounced right back at Vaati. I acted quickly and stabbed him right in the eye along with my copies.
Vaati cried out in pain and disintegrated. The world around me disappeared. I was back in the Elemental Sanctuary. All that was left of Vaati was a hat. That was when Ezlo jumped off my head and transformed back into his old self. It was kind of weird seeing his real self.
Zelda was crying. A lot had been destroyed and so many had died because of Vaati. Ezlo gave Zelda his magic hat and told her to make a wish. Zelda put it on her head and closed her eyes. Everything around us turned back to the way it was. The path to the sanctuary was green again and the castle had turned back to normal.
The magic hat disintegrated. Ezlo says it's because of the power of Zelda's wish and how much life it gave. He vowed never to make something like that again. The door to the Minish world was closing. Ezlo said that he must go home. I...I didn't want him to go! Plus, he never taught me that spell!
Ezlo chuckled when I told him that. He whispered a few words and a green hat fell on my head. He told me to keep it as a memento. I asked him about the spell. Ezlo leaned close to my ear and whispered a few words. He gave me a hug and then became small. The door disappeared.
I took off the hat and held it in my hands. I already miss him. Zelda gave me a big hug and thanked me for rescuing her. The first thing we did was go to Grandpa's house. Zelda ran to her father and gave him a big hug.
Grandpa asked if everything was ok. I told him that Ezlo left and that I missed him. Grandpa told me not to worry, he will never forget me and I shouldn't forget him. I still miss Ezlo, though, but I know that he'll be going right back to his books and I'll be going right back to smithing with Grandpa. I wonder if Zelda would like to spar with me?
