What happens when you give players too much freedom? In Floppy/Write, I'm balancing systems that let players speak in their own voice — but that freedom brings ambiguity, especially in progression and narrative control.

I’ll never be you, so I can’t predict what you’ll say or do — but I can build invisible systems in Godot to gently guide player behavior.

In this devlog, I share design choices that make Floppy/Write fun, show how I use yWriter7 to plan narrative structure, and explore algorithmic tricks I’m adding in GDScript to meter pacing and motion.
