finalRender trueHybrid GPU Carpaint quick tips
In this video Edwin Braun showing our progress so far on the continuous workflow of GPU and Software rendering. Technology preview.
Rendering Options in 3dsMax - MentalRay and the iRay GPU version - and Edwin shows how finalRender biasHybrid takes care of your workflow in GPU rendering.
1) simple scene with one object + one material - standard MR material, applied and MR is used as main renderer in the first scene. Shows a nice car paint material rendered.
2) Moving now to the GPU ActiveShade NVIDIA iRay activated: you see the render is lightning fast, however, you do not see the final product and that's the issue here. So with the 3dsMax iRay, you are unable to use a GPU renderer properly even for a standard, simple scene.
3) finalRender biasHybrid wants to provide you with a transparent, unified user experience and not a dark un-viewable space on your render window - and we have. See www.cebas.com/finalRender for more information.
Time stamp 3:43 finalRender workflow : exactly same material and steps - press render you will get the car paint with the desired reflections and effects - lightning fast. Switch to ActiveShade mode - render - you do see the result in the viewport. Real time and interactive updates as we make changes from the viewport! Our renderer will take more time to update as it is a software renderer, however, simply press 'render' button (after viewport fine-tuning) and it will update accordingly. Simple. Fast. Effective.
Already we have shown you that finalRender is the only real time update rendering workflow available now. You can continue on the worklow and adjust material etc while rendering. For example, adjust the flakes and you will see the scale appearing real time. You get the real time update as you work on the 3dsMax viewport and for the finalRender view - you press the render and it will quickly finalize and update as well - an amazingly useful workflow.
NOTE: since this video was made early 2019, finalRender drop 3 has already been released. See www.cebas.com/finalRender ** Now, with Drop 3, accelerating on both GPU AND CPU tracks - what more could you ask for in terms of hardware and software optimization! Quadruple choices for the artist in terms of handling speed and smart rendering. You have the latest RTX technology from NVIDIA with the full support of OptiX RTX Denoiser. Plus, you can still engage CPU on the Intel Open Image Denoiser. To view New Features videos, scroll to New Features on the site.
