I don't get the impression that many schools set up a small arrangement of first come first serve instruments that are completely free for students to use, as oftentimes students who want to be in band have to have their parents buy the instrument. So to think that he somehow got stuck at the back of the crowd, and Colin wound up having to deal with the massive for his age and size cello, seems like rubbish. If anything, when I was younger, I'd have wanted the massive cello, because I'd be playing the instrument of a man, not some wimpy little flute or violin.
