Fire Emblem 6 Ch1-5 new WIP
0This is an improvement to my Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi TAS. After discovering a new strategy for ch5 and some further optimisations and lag reduction, I decided to restart this from scratch. This allowed for more subtle improvements like giving Alan and Marcus more wexp earlier.
Ch1: Nothing noticeable changed, but I did get a cutscene skip earlier and improved manipulation slightly. 44 frames improvement.
Ch2: Alan gets put in different positions but otherwise things are only minorly improved. 118 frames improvement.
Ch3: Alan gets more sword kills. Marcus nets more crits.
Ch4: I kill off Wolt to set up a turn saving in ch5. Marcus uses the Iron Axe to kill the enemies on turn 2, and gets a better level up in the process. 533 frames improvement
Ch5: I needed to manipulate the mercenary's Def so Thany could OHKO with Javelin crit. She and Lance clear the way for Marcus to take the boss kill, and Roy can seize on turn 2. 2737 frames improvement.
The idea for the 2 turn strategy on ch5 was not my own, it was adapted from a video by beamcrash. I've also had a lot of input and advice from Nitrodon which has helped a lot. Overall things are progressing nicely, and I'm well ahead of my old WIP. Expect more good things soon!
