Before the chapter begins, the shop merchant sells energy ring stat-ups for 8000G a pop, so I spend 56000G on seven of them, five of which are immediately given to Karin. She can hold onto five of them plus a lance, giving her conveniently just enough power to 3HKO the chapter's boss!

Fortunately, chapters 9 and 10 are a nice breather after the gruesome chapter 8. The only chapter requirement is to defeat the boss, so the only problem is an enemy or two slightly blocking Karin's path. Once she actually reaches him, her javelin and continue skills let her to take down the boss without even breaking a sweat!

Meanwhile, Leaf and Lachesis appreciate a bit of experience points. The prisoners I'm supposed to be saving join you even if they're defeated, so there is no point in even bothering with them. I do let Halvan win his duel though, because he's JUST THAT GOOD.
