Byleth and her forces enter Fort Merceus, and they have to deal with the Death Knight, who we have fought many times during the adventure. Claude and the Alliance Army get help from the Almyran Army led by Nardel, who is revealed to be known as Nader, the Almyran General, and they team up in attempt to defeat the Death Knight.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Fort Merceus is a large map, and there are some Imperial Troops on Ballistae and Fire Orbs to attack from a long range, and the Death Knight is at the middle of the map, so even though it uses the same map from Azure Moon, the objective is different. Claude will be on the northeastern part of the map, away from all your other units, but it turns out he has a secret scheme, because we get a cutscene where the Almyran Army appear, and even though Nardel, who is revealed to be known as Nader the Undefeated, rides a horse and uses a bow and sword, he is a Wyvern Lord with a Silver Axe, but some of the Almyran Troops are cavalry units, and they will serve as allies to help you against the Death Knight.
There are two Imperial Generals, the Bishop would be Linhardt, and the Warrior would be Caspar if you didn't recruit them, and the Warrior will drop a Brave Axe when defeated. For items, you can get an Evasion Ring from a Swordmaster, and from two chests, you can get an Aurora Shield and a Speedwing, and you can steal a Vulnerary from Linhardt, and an Elixir from Caspar.
There are endless reinforcements on this map, a Paladin will appear from the northwest corner, an Armored Knight from the northern border, a Dark Mage from the southwest corner, and a Fortress Knight from the southern border, and to stop the reinforcements, you have to place one of your units on the spaces where they come from.
The Death Knight is on the middle of the map, and he is quite a tough boss, and if you did Mercedes and Caspar's paralogue, he would have a Brave Lance instead of the Scythe of Sariel, but he is still a tough threat, he does have Counterattack, Poison Strike, and Lancefaire for skills. When 7 turns pass or if a player unit enters the center space, the Death Knight will begin to escape, and he will not attack, so you can try and block off his exit while you defeat the rest of the Imperial Troops. When I did this video originally, my Switch overheated, and this was the first time it had ever happened.
I thought at first that the Death Knight's escape would mean a loss, but it turns out that if the Death Knight escapes, the objective will change to defeat all the Imperial Troops, but you do get a Dark Seal for defeating him. The Death Knight has unique battle dialogue if Byleth, Claude, Mercedes, Seteth, or Flayn fight him.
After either defeating the Death Knight or defeating every enemy on the map if he escapes, we get a cutscene where he escapes anyway, and when I first saw this cutscene, it was a "What the heck?" moment when a large missile from the sky comes down a blows up an entire fortress.
If Nader survives this mission, he appears in the next scene talking about a javelin of light falling from the sky, and Judith then learns that Nardel, Claude's retainer, is Nader, a general from Almyra, if Nader was defeated, Hilda instead talk about it. Interesting trivia, Claude's real name is not Claude, it is actually Khalid, it was revealed in a Nintendo Dream Magazine in Japan, and it was originally going to be revealed by Nader in the game.
The next scene, Claude reveals to Lorenz and the others about why he is close to Nader, the Almyran General, and Claude explains to them that not all people from Almyra are bad people, and he uses Cyril as an example of a person from Almyra who is not bad. Claude then talks about other people from Duscur and Brigid, which respectively opposed the Kingdom and Empire, and we knew people from those region, Dedue being from Duscur, and Petra being the Brigid princess, and Claude reveals his plan to break down the walls between Fódlan and the outside world.
