Byleth and the Resistance Army arrive at Shambhala, an underground city with modern technology, with the use of a map from Hubert. Shambhala is the base of Those Who Slither in the Dark, and their leader is Thales, and we also have to get past the Agarthan Soldiers and the mechanical fighters known as Titanus.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

We enter the underground city of Shambhala, and it has some really cool music, and this is where Those Who Slither in the Dark are located, and some of the writing on the walls have Russian writing. Their leader is Thales, he is inside a room on the middle of the map, and there are a bunch of Titanus on this map, they are mechanical fighters that use Giant Katar for their weapon, they have high Defense and have both Pavise and Aegis, which pair well with their high Dexterity stat, as they decreases damage from attacks when their barriers are up, and their Staggering Blow is Titanomachy, which inflicts a -5 Speed debuff to any units in range, and breaking their barriers provides Agarthium, which can be used to repair weapons like the Scythe of Sariel.
The Viskam will activate, it is like a Fire Orb where it attacks automatically and deals damage to your units in range, and the Viskam was originally going to be a weapon, where it is a sword that deals magic damage, as it is in the game's code, but we already have the Levin Sword which is kind of similar.
You might notice some Agarthan troops, and for some reason, they give them names despite them not being important. One of them is Myson, if you played the Azure Moon route, you would know how infamous that guy is, but on this route, he is a Warlock with Dark Spikes Τ, and he does have Magic Bond, so your long ranged bow units can easily take him down, specially if you have a Brave Bow.
There are some chests on this map, one has the Sword of Zoltan, and the other contains the Bow of Zoltan, both are very powerful A Rank weapons that require Wootz Steel to repair. Some Agarthan Troops have Door Keys which you can use to open the doors, and most of them are in different classes.
You will need these Door Keys to open the control rooms, the northwestern control room has a Gremory named Bias, who has Ragnarok, and the southeastern room has a Gremory named Pittacus, who has Abraxas. They shouldn't be too difficult as they have very low Defense, defeating Bias will stop the Titanus reinforcements, and defeating Pittacus will disable the Viskam.
Guarding the room where Thales is located is a Great Knight called Chilon, who has a Bolt Axe, the Agarthan Commanders have Dark Magic Corps, which use Resonant Lightning for the Gambit. Chilon has Hit +20 to give his Bolt Axe more accuracy, magic users do well against him, as he doesn't have good Res.
You will need a Door Key to open the central room and fight Thales, he is in his unique class of Agastya, and he has Quake Σ, which he can only use once, and it damages every unit except for Flying units, so you will want to rush in and defeat Thales before he can use it, or heal your units before opening the door. Thales has Death Γ for his spell, and he has Seal Magic and Seal Strength to reduce the stats of your units, he has unique dialogue if you have Byleth, Seteth, or Flayn fight him. He is a tough opponent, so I recommend using your best Combat Arts in taking him down.
After defeating Thales, we get a cutscene where he attempts to destroy Shambhala with javelins of light in an attempt to finish off Byleth and the Resistance Army, and we get another appearance of The Immaculate One, who tries to stop the javelins of light, but at a huge cost, and unlike in Verdant Wind, we don't get an extra cutscene. Even though this is the exact same cutscene, they have different names when you view them, the one on this route is called "Courage and Tragedy", and the one on Verdant Wind is called "The Curse", the cutscene plays out the same, but in Verdant Wind, there is an extra scene, which I will not spoil in case you haven't played Verdant Wind or watched my playthrough of that route.
