Byleth has lead the Blue Lions all the way to the Imperial Palace, and along with Dimitri and the others, they set off to take on Edelgard once and for all. They soon find that Edelgard is not what they were expecting, and something very unusual is up with the Imperial troops, this will be one tough fight, but it will take all we need to defeat Edelgard and the Imperial troops.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This is the final battle, and we are up against Edelgard and the Imperial Troops, but something strange is up, Edelgard has taken the form of a monstrous abomination known as the Hegemon Husk, and some of the troops are part of Those Who Slither in the Dark. The map theme is Apex of the World, which I have seen people say is meant to be a song associated with Edelgard, and the fact she is the final boss of this route, it is kind of a sad song when you think about it, but heroic at the same time. This is the only route where the song "A Vow Remembered" does not play in the preparations screen, but it does play in the scene before the battle, and we get a song that sounds like the theme of TWSITD, or Those Who Slither in the Dark when we see Hegemon Edelgard in that scene, the song for that scene plays on a late game map on the Verdant Wind route.
This is a large map, and one unit to take note of is Myson, he has a spell called Bohr Χ, if this connects, it will leave any unit with 1 HP, Res does not matter. If you have a unit with Warp, you can send them to where Myson is and take him out with a powerful attack, this will cause TWSITD to retreat.
What also makes this map tough is that Edelgard can attack twice in a range of 30 with her Crest of Flames Power, and she will target the unit with the lowest Defense, but the hit rate isn't too high, and if Dimitri is in her range, she will always target Dimitri, even if the hit rate is not that good against him. In the throne room, the Mages have Meteor, so prepare a unit with good Res to take those powerful attacks.
There are three chests, this isn't necessary, as this is the final map in the game, but if you are interested, you get a Talisman, Elixir, and Energy Drop, and you can steal a Hexlock Shield from Myson, and a Silver Shield from a Fortress Knight on Maddening only.
About the Hegemon Husk, Edelgard's Battalion back at Gronder was Supreme Armored Co., in Japanese, it is called Hegemony Armored Corps, referencing the class Edelgard is in for this fight, and Hegemon Husk is called Hegemony Corps Emperor in Japan. That class has other foreign names, like Hegemon Specter, Shadow of the Conqueror, and Defeated Hegemon.
Some reinforcements will show up at the stairs, so if you don't block them off, they will keep appearing, and there are some Demonic Beasts, which are the best time to use Gambits, because Edelgard only has one shield.
Once you set foot into the throne room, Dimitri will find out that Edelgard has turned into a grotesque form for the final battle, and she will switch to Twin-Crest Power, reducing her range from 30 to 6. The Hegemon Husk's class ability is Twin Crests, that will allow Edelgard to attack twice per turn, and Dimitri will always be targeted by one of her attacks if he is in range.
Hegemon Edelgard has Monster Effect Null, which prevents bonus effects against Monster units, Counterattack, as expected, allows her to counter from any range, Heavily Armored Wall prevents Armor Break if it is broken, and it will regenerate at the start of the turn, and Vital Defense prevents critical hits if the barrier is active.
Edelgard has four health bars, on her second health bar, she will have Vantage, on her third health bar, she has Desperation, and on her fourth health bar, she has Wrath. Her Staggering Blow is Wilted Flower, which has a very long range and ignores the target's Defense. When her health is low, she is a dangerous opponent, but as she only has one barrier, using your powerful Heroes' Relics, like Dimitri's Areadbhar and Byleth's Sublime Creator Sword can get in some heavy hits, specially if you use some powerful Combat Arts.
With the Adrestian Emperor down, we have beaten the Azure Moon route, and depending on who you have chosen to pair Byleth with, you will get a special scene at the Goddess Tower with the unit you have picked, this will be Byleth's S-Support with that unit, and then we get to see the results, like the MVP of each chapter, and each unit's endings, and who they got paired up with, and then onto the credits.
After completing the game, you unlock New Game +, where you can play through the game again, but you can carry over skill levels, Professor Level, Renown, and some other things, and if you are wondering if I will be doing another route, wait and see. I feel that Three Houses is a really long game, as a normal playthrough would take about 70 to 80 hours to complete.
