The gallop of her destrier plodding through the forest's natural pathways weaved her and the horses leeward and up a short hill clearing providing a view of Garreg Mach at dawn. This was the freedom she desires and looks forward to throughout the rest of the day. A freedom bound by her crest and possibly her heart but Glenn would not want to have seen her live a life of sorrow. No, she would find the joy of riding and has grown to look forward to striking the post that would stare down her and the steed later that day. She dismounts and pats her companion as the light shines itself upon the monastery her new home, a place of new yet less binding commitments. Her obligations beckon her back to the stables, where she will brush and tend to the horse's needs before she prims herself before the start of class. Her steadfast demeanor will prove instrumental on a trip to the market.

Annette and Mercedes decided to shop in the market to prepare a saghert with cream and sugared peaches. Annette thought it might be fun if Byleth made a class trip of it, wanting to build camaraderie between his students quickly agreed to the dismay of Felix. Although, Ashe soon noticed that a couple people were out of place one of which was tailing them. Dimitri waved it off, but soon even Sylvain tensed mid laugh as Dedue leapt forward clubbing a man approaching the prince rapidly "hey, can I ask you a quest---uuggh," the knife in his doublet soon skittered to the side of the road. Besides Felix, Dedue, and Ingrid the whole of the class was stunned. In response, Byleth quickly barked to form up in a two deep line formation, in truth, any amount of order was better than disorder whether or not it was the right call from the professor's point of view. We have an interesting clerical section this time so be wary of reading it until the end of the episode.

Apparently, all of my deployed troops were recommended to be level 9, none of my units were, so I feel less bad about losing this one. The case could have been made that I was moving too fast to discern the results, but in truth I move at this speed more often than not even if I am casually playing off camera. Tactically, there really was not anything to learn from this episode because it was more of an issue of the enemy finally having a troop quality edge over me. Strategically, I hope that a takeaway from this episode is to never give up on something you want to accomplish, you will find that adversity is a much better teacher than success in life. These episodes are normally scheduled for noon EST. We are currently sitting 4-1 and Annette is our MVP. It is strange to say, but I am happy to get my first loss (by my standards) out of the way because it reinforces the authenticity of this being a true ironman, one more pulse and maybe Dedue is gone for good.
