At first blush this is Portal, but with block manipulation, instead of teleportation/quantum portals. The puzzles, at least early on, are fairly simple and obvious, and you quickly grasp how each color of blocks works. There's no tutorial or how-to-play section, it just drops you in to figure it out on your own, and I really like that. It's simple to jump in, play a stage, and head out if you don't have a whole lot of time to sit down for a more involved game.
This, the original, version of the game seems to just be a straight up puzzle solver, moving from room to room, stage to stage, until you get to the end. However they have released a Director's Cut of the game, which from the trailer looks to have taken the base puzzle game, and added a story of isolation and being trapped in this maze, trying to escape. I don't know if it has all of the original stages, or if everything has been re-done... but it's certainly something I'm going to have to check out. The brief intro I got here has me wanting to play more (I am also a huge Portal fan and re-play through it and Portal 2 at least once a year). With this version I doubt that I'd bother with the achievement that you unlock by playing the game 100 times, though. Once you've solved the puzzles, without something else to draw you, it's hard to go back unless a lot of time has passed... but maybe if I pick up the Director's Cut and have a narrative to play through, that will help re-playability.
