That being said, I figured Celestial Tear Demon's Revenge would be a great place to break into the JRPG genre. While most games in this genre are more or less clones of each other with different story lines, this game felt different. A different art style, look, feel, and even the combat sets Celestial Tear : Demon's Revenge apart. What Is Celestial Tear Demon's Revenge?
Celestial Tear Demon's Revenge is an episodic RPG set in a Sci-Fi fantasy world. It will resemble many of the classic JRPG games you've played in the past, but with it's own unique artstyle and gameplay. A combo system is set up for combat, which allows you to build rage and unlock devastating attacks. Well written with quite a bit of voice acting thrown in to add to the ambiance and atmosphere of the game. It all fits nicely into the classic 16-bit or 8-bit era of turn-based combat.
My thanks to the folks at White Guardian Studios for sending this my way and allowing me to showcase it on my channel. I had actually been looking at and watching this game for a while, so it was a really nice surprise to see it come my way! I'm a big fan of JRPGs as it just reminds me of a simpler time where games were about story, and a bit more casual or hectic than many of the games today. Celestial Tear Demon's Revenge reminds me of that, while still having it's own unique qualities to make it nostalgic, yet refreshing. :)
