I continue to press forward after going back and clearing all of level one. Apparently the Wizard has mother and cheese ownership problems. Still, he does manage to do quite a bit of work against the enemies. The Mercenary Leader is far less impressive than the Beholder and in the end, victory!

I've had my eye on Sword Coast Legends for several months now and I was super excited to see an offer to get my hands on it early. I jumped at the chance and I've already logged a few hours on it. I worked out a lot of the kinks and things I didn't understand about the dungeon crawling, played around with some character creation and figured out how to control my party somewhat reasonably. My First Look of Sword Coast Legends might not display unrivaled skill, but I do have a ton of fun throughout. All that being said, dungeon crawlin' ain't easy. You may end up burnt to a crisp by an angry fire elemental, or charmed by a beholder slaughtering your teammates after your healer is turned to stone. Every adventure has been unique so far, and I can't wait to get into it again. So come and join me as I continue my adventures through this pre-release build and onward when I start my Let's Play Sword Coast Legends!

What Is Sword Coast Legends?

Sword Coast Legends is a return to those compelling and complex RPGs of old. There are 5 races and 6 unique classes to choose from and a myriad of skills, equipment, and party compositions to fit your play style. Many industry veterans have come together to send you on a journey to the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe to the world of Faerun through a deep narrative driven adventure. One of my favorite features is the tactical pause that allows you the time to control each member of your party individually instead of relying on the AI's tactics. Table top D&D fans will rejoice to dive into the all new Dungeon Master Mode where you can create your own adventure and guide a party of up to 4 friends, enhancing their experience in real time. Additionally they have modules you can download and play to add more adventures to the list. If that's not enough for you, grab 3 friends and hit Dungeon Crawler mode. You give the dungeon the parameters you want, such as enemies, size, difficulty, quests, and if you must slay a boss or not, then dive into a dungeon generated just for you and your friends! If you can't pull a full group together, you can always import characters to fill the empty slots. There's a ton here and a ton more I've probably missed. My thanks to the folks at n-Space and Digital Extremes for allowing me to get my hands on Sword Coast Legends a bit early and showcase it on my channel. I personally am really into story driven games, so it will really shine when I get my hands on the campaign. All that being said, I'm loving dungeon crawling, even with it turns out bad. :)
