(FIRST PLAYTHROUGH) Chrono Trigger: (END) Floating Ocean Palace
0First of all i want to express how disappointed I am at the stream crapping out at the very end and you guys dont get to hear my reaction and opinion on the game so I'll do it here at the end of the description.
With that out of the way..... WE DID IT!!!! This game FANTASTIC!!! Truly the BEST game vie ever played on the SNES and is so far one of my favorite games I've streamed thus far too! Here are my opinions of the game in a little more detail for those interested....
Pros:
1) Battles were so unique with how seamless they were, I truly have never seen anything like them, the way you started a battle with each enemy to the way the monsters are acting on the overworld and even not having a loading screen at all in and out of battles!
2) Time traveling wasn't confusing whatsoever in this game, time traveling is usually very hard to do right since going back and forth through time will confuse the player but here it wasn't confusing in the least and makes you see the changes to the world firsthand which was a lot of fun to uncover.
3) The OST was FLAWLESS!!! Hats off to the composers! 10/10
4) Gorgeous pixel art! Everything was just eye candy from the visuals to the animations! Some of the best visuals ever!
5) Multiple routes and endings adding so MUCH variety playthrough through playthrough. LOTS of replay value here!
6) The 6 or 7 side quests the game had were not a bother at all and they each added so much character depth and lore to the world and they gave top tier equipment too!
Cons:
1 ) Menus would often be in the way of the battles, when trying to target enemies too high or too low on the screen. The menu could be a huge hinderance at times.
2) Battles being unskippable in some parts were kind of annoying, more of a nitpick then anything but its kind of a bother when you're trying to get by earlier area of the game.
3) The world map was practically useless, it helped me in knowing where I was on the map and see the layout but overall was lacking really badly. Definitely needed some work.
