First time painting a face! Relaxing time-lapse art with acrylic. painting over my graphite sketch.
Hello everyone! In this art video, I take on a new creative challenge—this is my first time painting a portrait with acrylics! Since drawing is my strength, I start with a graphite sketch of Edward Scissorhands that I made and paint over it. I try some acrylic painting techniques: I blend colors, layer paint, and transform a pencil drawing into a painting!
This beginner-friendly acrylic painting journey is full of trial, error, and artistic discovery. Whether you're into portrait painting, mixed-media artwork, or just love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton movies, I hope you enjoy the process with me! Follow along if you like, and I hope you learn some acrylic painting tips along the way, watching me struggle painting my first face, or just relax watching me make beginner mistakes and the creative process of turning a sketch into a painting.
This is old footage I filmed a while back for Instagram, but I found it on my old phone and thought it would be cozy as a YouTube video, too.
I am planning to make non-timelapse videos in the future with voiceover and my real voice, so please write in the comments if this is something you want to see.
But we need to finish all our home renovations and pole beam column post sawing first.
for now here is one more cozy timelapse video for you.
Have a great day!
