On FirstSixty, we play a video game that we have never played before. We play for 60 minutes, recording our immediate reactions to the game. It's not a review - we're just having fun (or perhaps not) and joking around.
On this episode, we finish up our voodoo training in the fine arts of mind hacking with the bizarre tale that is "MindJack" on the PlayStation 3, developed by feelplus and published by Square Enix. This game is rated M for Mature and is also available on Xbox 360. One thing that initially caught our interest about this game was just how poorly received it was. While the game is certainly buggy at times and features a rather dull tone of dialogue, I wouldn't say this is a terrible game; just not a well executed one. The story, while hard to follow at times, is still enough to keep you interested and the mind hacking is a unique feature that allows you to control nearly anybody on the screen, something we haven't seen too often, if at all.
