Are you one of those people who have seen third person camera perspective Halo: Reach mods but thought it would be nice to switch between first and third person at the press of a button? Are you okay with armor abilities not being in the game? Well, you've come to the right place.

What I did here was I modified the starting armor ability so that it doesn't do its normal gameplay effect thing, it gives you third person camera when active, keeping it active consumes no armor ability charge whatsoever so it's infinite, and I made sure the ability was set to toggle and not hold. In terms of visual/audio changes I removed the sound effects, the equipment model from your back, and the armor ability meter/icon next to the radar.

This effectively turns the armor ability usage button into a camera perspective switch button. With this method you sacrifice at least one armor ability from the game - all of them if you want to always have this perspective switch ability available (also, switching to a different unmodded ability will lock you back to first person camera) - but you basically gain the ability to use zoom if you prefer playing in third person, as well as a convenient ability to switch between the two if you like both perspectives.

So this method is not without its drawbacks, but it could fit well in a modded gameplay sandbox like Halo: Reach Evolved where armor abilities are 99% removed from the game.
