How to fix Age of Empires 4 Crash to desktop CTD, Not Starting, Fix Age of Empires 4 Does not launch when click on Play, Age of Empires 4 Won’t Start, Age of Empires 4 Not Launching,Nothing happens when hit play on Age of Empires 4 , Age of Empires 4 Freeze and Black Screen Issue
Step 1) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program or Windows security
Step 2) Close the game, restart Steam, let the update complete and launch the game
Step 3) Make sure you are connected to the internet
Step 4) Do a clean installation of graphics driver

Step 5) Update Windows to the latest version- Use media creation tool

Step 6) Verify the game files
Step 7) Install Visual C++ files from Microsoft website: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-160
Step 8) If you have Windows 10 N Edition: Install Media Feature Pack and restart your PC If your Windows version 1903 and above then open Windows Settings/Apps/Optional Features/Add a feature/type media feature pack in search box/now put a check on the box for media feature pack and click on install on the bottom

Step 9) Run the game as an administrator from the game installation folder
Step 10) Laptop users with dual graphics card run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 11) Perform clean boot, disable steam overlay and close other overlay app, close all the overclocking apps, also close all the apps running in the background.
Step 12) Try Window mode, turn off V sync, limiting FPS to 60 and lower down graphics settings
Step 13) Uninstall, delete the game folder, reinstall the game to another drive SSD if available
