This can be a frustrating issue which can be solved by using this method I show in this video. Camtasia has be one of the best screen capture programs out there today and its the software I use to record my screen.

When you start your capture of the screen it all looks like its working find, but on play back, you get this annoying black square over your cursor and ruins the video.
