Fix Clipchamp taking up too much disk space on Windows issue
Here's how to Fix Clipchamp taking up too much disk space on Windows issue.
Here are some tips to reduce the disk space used by Clipchamp on Windows:
- Clear the cache and temp files. Open Clipchamp and go to Settings - Advanced - Clear Cache and Clear Temp Files. This will delete any temporary files taking up space.
- Change the Local Cache location. Go to Settings - Advanced - Local Cache and change the folder location to a drive with more free space.
- Reduce the Max Local Cache Size. Go to the same Local Cache settings and lower the max size allowed for the cache.
- Delete old project files you no longer need. Clipchamp stores copies of your projects, so deleting old ones you don't use will free up space.
- Export finished projects and delete them from Clipchamp. Rather than having Clipchamp store copies indefinitely, you can export final projects and then delete them from the app.
- Uninstall and reinstall Clipchamp. This will delete all cached and temp files and give you a fresh install. You'll have to sign back in and reconfigure settings.
- Use the Disk Cleanup utility. Search for "Disk Cleanup" on Windows, select the drive Clipchamp is installed on, and clean up any unnecessary system files.
- Move the Clipchamp install folder to another drive. You can reinstall Clipchamp and select another drive during setup if you have another drive with more free space.
Also try closing Clipchamp when not in use, as it can continue caching files and taking up space in the background. Let me know if any of those suggestions help free up disk space!
