Many users have reported issues with workstations that were previously connected to a domain. These workstations are not accepting Outlook credentials, and the Credential Manager refuses to start, displaying an error code 0x80090345.

The issue appears to be related to Windows updates KB3000850 and KB299261. We will try to resolve the issue without uninstalling the updates, and if that doesn’t help, we’ll uninstall the updates as it seems to be a sure workaround for this issue.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Alienware, Razer, MSI, Huawei , Microsoft Surface, and Samsung.
